FocusPoint Linux is a operating system using Xfce (based on Linux Mint) designed for everyone, but catered for photographers: be that professionals or amateurs.
FocusPoint Linux is a fast and feature rich operating system.

We are not affiliated to Linux Mint so any support questions or/and complaints you may have should be directed at us, not too/at Linux Mint.

We have added many packages to make it real easy to get started working with your photographs.
We have also done a few underlying tweaks to make it work better for a photographers workflow.
We are adding a few of our own packages to our distro weekly.
You can find these packages in our repo and they are prefixed as focuspoint- to make them easy to find.
There are also other packages in our repo not prefixed.

Some of the programs you can find in FocusPoint is gimp, darktable, lightzone, rawtherapee, shotwell and more.
Our goal is to offer the most on an as efficient system as possible. The Linux Mint base is highly stable and highly efficient so basing FocusPoint Linux on Linux Mint was a no-brainier. We want to be a Swiss army knife for photographers.

There is a lot of photography software, tools and tweaks present in our operating system, we may change the packages included in the near future, we have a plan for a tailored system and not a overloaded/bloated system.

Flatpak comes enabled out of the box and flathub.org repo is also enabled, snap is not present and will not be enabled.
If you don’t really know what flatpak or snap is it really doesn’t matter to much, it’s just libraries/repositories offering applications.
