Beta 1 of FocusPoint Linux Shutter is released.
Update: Uploaded a new build, if your on 1.0-8 there’s really no need to download 1.0-9, the only difference is that we removed compiz that where not intended to bee on our build in the first place. so, to get 1.0-9 from 1.0-8 simply do $ sudo apt remove compiz in terminal.

We are very happy to finally be able to release a new beta, after fighting with the new Ubuntu iso that have new layered functions that made it very hard for us to produce a stable release due to the technology we selected a good while ago.
We have now left the Ubuntu base and have opted for Linux Mint as base for our release, something that makes a lot of sense for what we want to be able to offer to hobby or professional photographers that want a stable operating system to produce art on.
This new release from us is as the title says a beta, meaning you should probably not install this on your production computer without doing proper backups first
We recommend that you to not do a dual boot with Windows, this is not properly tested, meaning we don’t know if it works well or not. If you decide to do a dual boot we strongly recommend that you keep Windows and FocusPoint on separate drives
We have been working hard on this release and hope that you will find it useful. Please report any issues and/or if it works well in our forums. You are also welcome to report any wishes or other input you may have. We want to cater this release for photographers, be that hobbyists and/or professionals.
