Canonical have now released Ubuntu 24.04 LTS – The version our next released will be based on.
We have done a lot of work on that version the last few weeks and are really close to our first alpha release, we have one roadblock though, and that is in our live session due the new way canonical layers the image.
This makes it difficult for us using the same route we normally go to build our iso, basically the new layered iso from canonical/ubuntu overrides some of our live settings making the live session not represent our branding and look and feel, we are so close to fixing it, it’s just the last few settings that are a problem. On an installed version none of the problems persists, so it is only on the live version.
The good news though is that all our testing on installed systems have proven our work to be pretty rock solid, and I must say it feels pretty polished right now.
