Installing Linux these days is very painless, even more so than Windows as it's merely clicking buttons.
After “burning” FocusPoint iso over to an disk or an USB pen drive device and changed the boot device it is just a matter of sitting back a minute and letting the boot process run, after a little while you will end up on a “live” desktop, meaning nothing is installed yet. This is so that you can be able to test drive FocusPoint Linux and see if you like it or not and if FocusPoint is something for you, this is also where you get the opportunity to explore the OS test a few things without the fear of making mistakes.
Launching the installer
When you are ready to install, simply double click the (only) shortcut on the desktop called Install Focuspoint Linux.. Xfce will prompt you with a message about un-trusted shortcut, simply chose launch anyway.
Next you want to select the language for your installation
On the next screen chose the language for your keyboard and keyboard type.
On the next screen you get the option to install Multimedia codecs, if you are connected to internet we recommend you to chose to install the codecs, this will enable you to play most multimedia files.
On the next screen it's time to chose where too install FocusPoint, this is where you can select drive for your installation. A more detailed guide for this option is in the works, make sure to select the correct drive to install too
PS. We recommend you to not do dual boot with Windows, for max stability you should install FocusPoint without dual booting
Choose your location on the next screen
Now you can set up your local user account, chose username, make a password and click Continue
Now just sit back and let the installation continue. This might take a little while
When the installation is completed, hit Continue Testing
or Restart Now
If you are ready for rebooting click on Restart Now
and wait a little minute for the prompt to remove installation media, if you only see a black screen and no prompt, wait a little minute, remove the media and hit the Enter Key on your keyboard, your computer will now reboot and after a few seconds it will boot into your new operating system.
